Implementation of 5G Broadcast & DRM

In 2023 Plisch extended its transmission standard by implementing 5G Broadcast and DRM+ to its portfolio of OFDM modulation. 5G Broadcast is discussed to be a possible future of linear broadcast by transmitting linear terrestrial broadcast to 5G mobile phones with the benefit of reducing traffic on small cell LTE 5G towers.

DRM+ is set to be the next step in implementing digital radio, foremost in Asia, with Indonesia, Pakistan, China and India at the forefront. By adopting DRM+ as additional digital radio standard Plisch will adress this direction of broadcasters in Asia by expanding its business and reputation in Asia.
